DMX Spy

The DMX Spy is a pocket sized DMX tester and reader used to easily view/validate DMX data in a convenient pocket sized form factor.

Overview

Connect any DMX512 device via 5 pin XLR to view the level of your selected address.

The level of selected address will be displayed as a percentage (0-100%) and a decimal (0-255).

Note

DMX Spy can only read DMX data. If outputting is required, DMX Spy Pro is necessary.

Info

Older DMX Spy models will only display DMX percentage values (0-100%) and not decimal values (0-255). If you require a software upgrade, please contact us.

Power

To turn the unit on:

Click dial

To turn the unit off:

Hold dial for 6 seconds 

Info

Device will auto sleep after 3 mins when no data is connected.

Unlock

To change the selected address, the device must be unlocked:

Hold dial for 2 seconds

When unlocked, repeating this action will lock the device to your currently selected address.

To select a new address:

Turn dial

Battery

Charges via micro-USB connector. Charge time from dead is 3hrs.
